Troubleshooting

Start with the HTTP status, then confirm the credential, base URL, model ID, and client protocol.

401 — Invalid or missing credential

Set the API key in the current terminal and confirm the client sends Authorization: Bearer …. Rotate any credential that appeared in logs or source code.

404 — Model or route not found

Copy the exact model ID from Models & Pricing. A model listed in the catalog does not prove compatibility with Anthropic Messages or Google GenAI routes.

429 — Rate or quota limit

Wait and retry with exponential backoff. Check the key's quota, expiry, group, and IP restrictions.

Windows script is blocked

Inspect the downloaded PowerShell file first. If required, use Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process Bypass so the exception ends when that PowerShell session closes.

No usage record appears

Confirm the client targets BobRouter instead of its default provider. OpenAI-compatible clients should use https://api.bobrouter.com/v1.
